Since discarded mobile phones contain valuable metals such as gold, silver, platinum group of metals, copper, and nickel, as well as harmful ones, like lead and cadmium, the recycling should be considered both from the ecological and economical point of view. Metals in mobile phones are concentrated in printed circuit boards, as well as in batteries.
