So, these is the reasons that the past decades have been accompanied by continuous research into new models and the definition of relevant factors that can contribute to improving the state of the occupational health and safety system and achieving zero risk. Communication at all levels of management certainly played a significant role in preserving this system. Communication is of particular importance for the transfer of visions and goals of the organization to employees, and in this regard, it can be an extremely important influencing factor in the occupational safety system. Bearing in mind the above, it can be assumed that a positive relationship in terms of communication contributes to the improvement of employees’ commitment to safety at work, and therefore to the integration of communication strategies and the improvement of the safety conditions of the working environment and safety climate. Considering the presented goal, the research presented in this paper was conducted by surveying 193 respondents employed in organizations in the Jablanica district. The software program SPSS 21.0 was used. By analyzing, it can be concluded that there is a connection between the safety system and the level of development of communication as an influencing factor of the safety climate at work. The obtained results show that a high level of communication can contribute to the implementation and enforcement of safety procedures at work. The developed communication system is also an instrument and a powerful tool that helps top management to continuously monitor the level of health and safety of employees. The conducted research considered communication as a function of employee commitment to safety at work, as well as employee satisfaction with communication at the organizational level, primarily within the framework of the occupational health and safety system. The research showed that the applied methods can be effectively used in order to define the parameters of the safety climate at work in all industrial areas.
