Accident risk reduction takes place through accident prevention phases that are elaborated in detail separately for each mine and for each type of mining activity. In this paper, a multi-criteria analysis of the most important prevention measures is done in order to reduce the risk of accidents in mines with surface exploitation. The analysis was performed by AHP method.
