dc.description.abstractDeinking flotation is the most commonly used method in recycling paper process. Better understood of the interactions between added surfactant and the solid surfaces of ink can be accomplished by studying the fundamental mechanism. The effect of reagents on the flotation of offset paper was investigated for the purpose of efficiency removing the toner particles and fiber purification under different pH values in the presence of calcium ions. The results showed that calcium ions in combination with oleic acid remove toner particles with high efficiency in a short flotation time.
