dc.description.abstractManaging an organization of any kind and achieving its goals, especially in terms of increasing effectiveness, efficiency and realization of set goals and strategies, requires a thorough understanding of its internal functioning and structure. It is crucial to understand that the organization's activities are realized through a series of connected and goal-oriented business processes. Through the review of the conceptual definition of business processes and the consideration of models for their analysis, the specifics of the application of these processes in the context of the railway and the public sector in the Republic of Serbia are explored. The current context of research in the field of business processes in Serbia is analyzed, with a focus on the characteristics of the railway and public sectors.
